Patent Description: CO2 extraction using cold separation and compressor technology for producing essential oils. It can also be used for many industries such as cosmetics, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, etc. There is a patent valuation as well as claim charts if this is something you are interested in. 1. CO ₂ extraction systems commonly cited problems: *High capital cost precision pumps, chillers, and heating systems *Throughput speed relative to alternatives like hydrocarbon. Longer cycles mean pump, chillers, and heaters run longer per batch. *Power consumption pushing for faster thoughtput (higher flow rate and higher pressure) generally increases power draw so operators often have to balance speed against energy cost per unit of output rather than maximizing either alone *Extraction and separator vessels need precise temperature control (heating) which run simultaneously with chilling elsewhere in the system.
