Grape Plant Named 'Resilience'

‘Resilience’ is a new and distinct variety of grape plant selected from a population of seedlings obtained from a controlled cross of female parent ‘E.S. 10-18-06’ (an interspecific hybrid) and male parent ‘Regent’ carried out at Hugo, Minnesota in 2000. Seedling ‘Resilience’ was selected for further observation in 2007 and was first asexually propagated by dormant hardwood cuttings in 2008 at Hugo, Minnesota; subsequent asexual propagations have shown the variety to be stable and to reproduce true to type through successive generations. ‘Resilience’ is a cold-hardy grape plant notable for its large fruit cluster size and its thick-skinned fruit resistant to splitting, insect attack and rot. It also has good resistance to the common grape diseases. ‘Resilience’ grapes are used in the production of red wine.
